Olivia is an Industrial Designer and lifelong ceramist, born in Toronto, Canada. After moving to New York and apprenticing with Eva Zeisel for over a decade, Olivia designed dinnerware collections for Royal Stafford in the UK, retailers Crate and Barrel and others.
In 2020, she opened her Hudson Valley studio: Olivia Barry / By Hand, where she merges her industrial design training with the ceramic craft, challenging the material with her inventive interpretations in lighting and artwork.
Olivia’s work is represented in NYC by AM Collective, Rue IV in Washington DC, Hollace-Cluny in Toronto Ontario, DustyNYC.com and coming soon to Bright on Presidio in San Francisco CA.
