Mernøe
Mernøe is a family based lighting company founded in 2020. They design lamps in classic materials and produce locally by order in Copenhagen.
The company was founded from a personal need. Designer and engineer Morten Mernøe and his wife needed light for their dining table. Morten designed pendant No. 1. He used the organic surface of wood as reflector to transform LED light into a warm temperature.
Mernøe’s designs are made in solid wood and metals. All parts are processed by local artisans close to the studio. Each piece is surface treated individually by hand before assembling. The lights are only produced by order and materials are customized or each piece.
